The history of Tibetan Singing Bowls goes back to the 8th
century A.D.
Analysis of old bowls reveals that they were made from a
twelve metal alloy consisting of silver, nickel, copper, zinc,
antimony, tin, lead, cobalt, bismuth, arsenic, cadmium, and iron.

More recent bowls contained 7 metals One for each of the
Planets..
Gold ~ Sun , Silver ~ Moon , Mercury ~ Mercury, Copper ~
Venus, Iron ~ Mars, Tin ~ Jupiter, Lead ~ Saturn....

Popular Bowls of
today only contain 3 , Bronze , Iron and Zinc.

The singing quality is an important part of the Tibetan Singing
Bowl's history. In Buddhism, and in Hinduism, sound is an
important part of spiritual practice. In the Buddhist doctrine,
there are nine methods of realization of reaching
enlightenment. The seventh way was sound. For this reason,
the sound produced by the bowl was used by Buddhist
practitioners as part of their religious rituals and music.
Sound and vibrations are also associated with wellness.
It is thought that the tones produced by Tibetan Singing Bowls
affects left brain/right brain synchronization, which would create
a balancing effect.
Today Singing bowls are made in Nepal in the Katmandu
valley... Even though the original craft has been lost.. These
"modern" Singing bowls you will find today still hold that magic
of the ancient past ...

7 metals....please visit the gift shop..

Tarot

The tarot originated in northern Italy early in the 15th century (1420-1440). There is no
evidence for it originating in any other time or place. The earliest cards are hand-painted decks
from the courts of the nobility.
The earliest names for the tarot are all Italian. Originally the cards were called carte da trionfi
(cards of the triumphs). Around 1530 (about 100 years after the origin of the cards), the
word tarocchi begins to be used to distinguish them from a new game of triumphs or trumps
then being played with ordinary playing cards. The German form is tarock, the French form is
tarot. The symbolism of the trumps is drawn from the culture of Medieval and Renaissance
Europe. Most tarot subjects are distinctive to European Christendom. Illustrations virtually
identical to each of the tarot subjects can be found in European art, and such precise analogs
are not found in other cultures., Todays Modern Tarot deck images are vast many mimic the
traditional Decks. other have their own unique images unto their own..
Playing cards came to Europe via Islam..50 years beforeTarot were introduced..Playing cards
seem to be the reproduction of Islamic Mamluk cards.
Written records tell that the tarot was regularly used to play a card game similar to Bridge. The
game was popular throughout much of Europe for centuries and is still played today,
particularly in France
Records from a trial in Venice in 1589 suggest that tarot may have been associated with
witchcraft (at least in the minds of the accusers), about 150 years after the appearance of
the tarot. It wasnt until the 18th century that tarot was connected to Magic and divination.
